To celebrate the BC Day long-weekend (and as a rather spur-of-the-moment idea), a summer meet was organised in the aptly named Summerland in the sunny Okanagan Valley. The venue was a fruit orchard with fantastic views of Okanagan Lake and a mid-afternoon bbq provided a timely respite that allowed the revelry to extend late into the night. Thirteen plate enthusiasts from all corners of the province were able to attend and, due to the fun that was had by all, plans are in the works for future meets!
